I parked my vehicle next to the Subaru and started to get items out of my car. I had enough room to fully open my passenger door without hitting the other car. The Subaru then backed up, hitting my car door against my body, and I yelled "Hey!" I shut my door, and the gentleman in the Subaru continued to back up and said it was my fault because I parked too close. I was a foot and a half to the left from the white line, and seeing how I could open my door completely without hitting his car meant I was not in his way. I told him that he should have looked before backing up, and he said he didn't have to, that I should have moved out of the way. Being a passenger on the road, I'm pretty sure I had the right of way. He didn't even stop to get out to check if he scratched my door or anything. He just drove off.
