On the evening of Friday, May 1, 2026, at approximately 9:45 pm, I was traveling southbound on I-495, towards the divided highway for I-295 and I-95 south. While driving, I observed high-beam headlights in my rearview mirror. As I looked further, there was a driver of a commercial trailer truck using high-beam headlights as they followed closely behind the vehicle, which was behind us. Despite an open lane to the right, the truck remained behind that vehicle with its high beams on. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle between us exited the highway. The commercial trailer then moved directly behind my vehicle as I approached the I-295 / I-95 south divided highway. The driver continued to follow at an unsafe distance with activated high-beam headlights directed at my vehicle. I proceeded past the I-295 south exit and continued onto I-95 south, where the left-side roadway narrows to a single lane. At that point, the driver of the commercial trailer increased their speed and approached my vehicle aggressively while sounding their horn. The truck then made contact with my vehicle, side-swiping the right side and forcing me out of my lane onto the left side of the road. After the collision, the driver accelerated and operated the truck erratically, moving back and forth between lanes and in front of other vehicles. I was able to reach the trailer truck briefly and took photographs of the vehicle and its license plate, which was Oklahoma DN*4336. There was also an identification number D18467 on the rear top right side of the trailer truck. Additionally, the commercial trailer truck had a FritoLay / Cheetos mobile billboard advertisement.
