At an intersection, an elderly woman leaned on her horn and began screaming incessantly at me— an electric scooter rider. Confused, I turned around only to be shown the middle finger! For the record, I was riding in a bike lane where I was supposed to be. She continued to honk at me as I crossed the road. For a moment I thought she might run me over. She got *really* close. I fear she may be senile. Early dementia often surfaces as aggression. She had a handicapped tag, so I can’t begin to understand what specific mental challenges she may suffer from. Either way, her driving etiquette leaves much to be desired. Keep an eye out for this elderly, impatient, aggressive driver.
